Sopa de verdures

Aquesta recepta, que per altre costat no té res de complicat, la public per petició expressa del meu fill. A ell li agrada molt menjar i si bé a vegades pot ser molt exquisit, moltes altres es conforma amb ben poc. La veritat és que és un nin molt agraït, quasi tot li agrada, quasi tot ho troba bo i, algunes vegades, com en el cas d’aquest plat, boníssim.

Mamà, vull que ho pengis al teu blog i així tothom ho sabrà fer…” Sí és que és un sol! I jo, no puc fer altre cosa que compartir-la (tot i que me fa fins i tot un poc de vergonya de tan senzilla i poqueta cosa com és la recepta).

Ingredients (per a 4 persones):

  • 2,5 l de brou

  • 1/2 ceba

  • 1/2 tomàtiga

  • 1 porro

  • 1 pastanaga

  • 10-12 mongetes verdes (fines)

  • 2 carxofes

  • 1/4 colflori

  • Oli, sal i pebre bo

La primera vegada que vaig fer aquest plat va ser inspirada per la meva germana, perquè parlàvem de sopar coses lleugeres i calentetes, i a la vegada sense hidrats. I ella me va comentar que substituïa la pasta de la sopa per verdures, i aquest és el resultat.

Ratllam la ceba i la tomàtiga i les sofregim en una olla amb un poc d’oli, i a foc mig. Quan la ceba comença a tenir color, afegim el porro, tallat ben petit i després la tomàtiga. Quan aquesta és mig cuita, afegim les mongetes que haurem rentat i tallat a daus. (Aquest pas no és del tot necessari, però a mi m’agrada sofregir una mica les mongetes,perquè així donen més gust al brou).

A continuació abocam el brou a l’olla i deixam que les mongetes, juntament amb la resta de verdures del sofrit, bullin uns 10 minuts. Quan arrenqui el bull, salpebram. Passats aquests 10 minuts, incorporam la pastanaga, que haurem pelat i tallat també a daus petits, i mentre comença a bullir, preparam la colflori i la carxofa.

Netejam bé la colflori i la tallam petita, procurant llevar part dels troncs, perquè tarden més en coure que la part d’adalt i ens quedarien massa crus. Quan fa uns altres 10 min que bull la pastanaga, incorporam la colflori a l’olla. Pelam la carxofa llevant-li les fulles de defora i la part superior. Tallam la carxofa a quarts, i de cada quart en feim dos trossos. Just quan la colflori comenci a bullir afegim la carxofa, deixam que cogui uns cinc minuts, apagam el foc, deixam que reposi dos minuts i ho servim. I ja està, un plat calentet, lleuger i, segons en Tomeu “superboníssim”.

PS: Les fotos no són massa bones perquè vaig haver d’improvitzar, mentre sopavem, encara més del que ho faig normalment.

Vegetable Soup

This recipe, which is really easy, I post it by the public express request of my son. He loves to eat and, although sometimes he can be very exquisite, many other times he is satisfied with simple things. The truth is that he is very grateful, he likes almost everything, almost everything is good and sometimes, as in the case of this dish, it’s delicious.

“Mum, I want you to post it to your blog so everyone will know how to do it…” He is so sweet! And I can not do nothing but share it (although I’m a little ashamed of posting something as simple as this recipe).

Ingredients (for 4 people):

  • 2.5 l broth

  • 1/2 onion

  • 1/2 tomato

  • 1 leek

  • 1 carrot

  • 10-12 green beans

  • 2 artichokes

  • 1/4 cauliflower

  • Oil, salt and pepper

The first time I made this dish was inspired by my sister. We were talking about dinner, talking about what to eat which was light and warm and, at the same time, without carbohydrates. And she told me that replaced the pasta for the vegetables when making soup, and this is the result.

You have to grate the onion and tomato and fry it in a pot with a little oil, and medium heat. When the onion begins to change colour, you have to add the leek, cut very tiny, and then the tomato. When this is half cooked, add the green beans that you already have washed and diced. (This step is not absolutely necessary, but I like a to fry a little the green beans, so they give more flavour to the broth).

Now, you have to poured the broth into the pot and leave the green beans along with the other vegetables to boil for about 10 minutes. When it starts boiling it’s time to put the salt and the pepper as you like. After those 10 minutes, you have to add the carrot, peeled and cut into small cubes, and as it begins to boil, we start preparing the cauliflower and the artichokes.

You have to wash well the cauliflower and cutting it quite small, trying to remove part of the trunks, so they take longer to cook. After another 10 minutes, counted from the moment the carrot starts boiling, you have to put cauliflower in the pot. Then, you have to peel the artichoke removing some of its leaves and the outside top. Then, cut them into quarters and each quarter in two pieces. Just when cauliflower begins to boil add the artichoke, leave it to cook for five minutes, switch off the heat, leave it to rest two minutes and serve.

And that’s all, a warm and light dish, and according to my Tomeu “super delicious”.

PS: This pics aren’t very good because I had to improvise, while we were eating, even more than I normally do.
